So ridiculous
It’s been 15 years since Kurt died. I can still remember the day like it was yesterday. I was up at Copper Mountain with some friends when I got a call from my homie Josh. We were so bummed to say the least. Nirvana is still one of our favorites. Pitchfork put a little compilation of different Smells Like Teen Spirirt covers up here and this one was my favorite.
My uncle Frank’s album Two Headed Fly is available on the internet now. There are samples and you can buy it here. This cd has one of my favorite tunes of his, ‘Tough Times’, on it which is pretty appropriate these days. He sent me this info on it:
First single off the new Thermals album Now We Can See. Love it. Seeing as how this is one of the best looking years for music in awihle I’m gonna start doing a lot more music stuff on this site. Album reviews, concert reviews and of course non-stop Dinosaur Jr hype. Seriously though, new albums from so many of my favorites this year: The Thermals, Conor Oberst, Sonic Youth, Superchunk, Belle & Sebastian and of course the greatest band ever, Dinosaur Jr.
One of the finest bands around these days and the new album comes out on April 7:They had the song of the day on NPR and it kills it!
Here’s Lou performing one of his two new songs from the forthcoming Dinosaur Jr album called “Farm”. Yes! And it comes out in three months!!! I guess J has some footage at the start of Omar’s part in Mindfield. Great, as if I wasn’t already dieing to hear the new J Mascis songs enough already. Dude’s my hero. This ones funny. Nice mall grab J!
The news above is from Lou Barlow’s site. This year is starting off with a bang! I’m so excited it’s ridiculous.
