skate journal: flatground knee pain and switch heel attempts with dave (oct 23, 2017)
Still feeling motivated I met Dave at the dog park for a short one. I quickly realized I should not be skating. My knee was done, I couldn’t ollie or kickflip (although I still beat Dave to a kickflip! ha ha). So I just skated switch a little and somehow trying switch heels didn’t hurt so I just did that for 30 minutes. It was pretty cool actually and a few were the closest I’ve ever gotten. Dave had some nice bigspins, cabs, shoves and tried heelflip for awhile. He couldn’t quite get one. Then we filmed each other doing stand still tricks for all the rage. Well, Dave actually did a trick. I just walked up and flipped the board with my toe. Maybe I’ll post it, but I hate how I walk in it. Ha ha.
