skate journal: school stalls then some flatground (sept 18, 2017)
After a long day with jury duty and a nap or two I went to the school not really expecting much. Some people were playing basketball on the new court so I went in the back to check out some rocks. I tried to warm up with some stalls and was getting into them when a neighbor walking here dog decided to talk to me and make me feel weird about skating these rocks. Ugh. The rocks are good though and would be really good for me to keep trying to ollie up onto them. I hit the basketball court for a minute after that, but there were pebbles and lumps everywhere. So I skated in front of the house for awhile. Started okay with kickflip, pop shove, halfcab flip first try. But struggled with fakie flip and then fakie bigflip. I did get a great feeling treflip though and a first try b/s flip. Came close to frontside halfcab heel. Man I wish these shoes would die, but I think the’ll last forever.
