Went to Red Hawk to meet Dave at 11:30 on a cool day that would be quite cold when the wind kicked in. I got there first and thought I would be feeling pretty good, but my first couple of pushes told me otherwise. I decided to walk and run up/down the stairs a few times to try and get warmed up. Then I slowly started trying little no ollie noseslides. Then tried to ollie up the huge curb. Ha. Around the time Dave showed I was finally to a point where I was able to try grinds and stuff. Dave was able to warm up a little quicker since he hadn’t skated in a couple of days (I’m jealous .. 34 more days and I get a break). We ended up having a pretty fun session with no filming even though we probably could have filmed some stuff. Dave had some nice lines. No comply up the curb, manual or nose manual a rock, no ollie noseslide, back 50. I had back 180 up the curb, halfcab flip on flat, front 50. Then I randomly started trying front smiths and would get one. It felt awesome. I also had some crooks, back 50s, even a really slow back 50 shove. Dave did a crazy quick feet line of manual then quick nose manual followed by back 50. I joined the fun and went way slower to ollie on one rock then front 180 onto the next. Dave did a back 50 nollie shove and a then a back 5-0 which I guess has been awhile for him. Sick! After a stretch i tried a bunch of switch noseslides and posed a few switch crooks. Dave ended trying a crazy front 50 back bigspin out. Definitely got kind of close, but then we were both beat and called it a day.
