skate journal: basketball court flatground not landing much (oct 24, 2016 day 298)
Went to campus with some type of energy even knowing the impeding night of being with Jason at 4am. The dude rules, but these sleepless nights are taking a toll. I don’t know how I ended up choosing this spot, but I did. When I first arrived there was one guy shooting hoops by himself. I skated between the courts as a large buck deer ate grass and laughed at me. I started a little slow, then started landing tricks for a bit. Heelflip, halfcab flip, fakie flip all came quick. I would do two tricks. One way I really wanted to do halfcab heelflip then 360 flip. The other way I wanted to do heelflip then b/s flip. I ended up struggling with everything at that point. Two other guys showed up to skate. They were learning how to ollie. They were having a blast. It ruled to see them trying. I came close to a few more tricks, but ran out of energy. Never got treflip or halfcab heel. I can’t really expect to skate good under these circumstances. Oh yeah, I wore my old PJ shoes because it just seemed like the thing to do.
