skate journal: lafayette in the morning again. (sept 23, 2016 day 267)
Went to sleep super early the night before which of course meant I woke up super early. I got to Lafayette around 7am and didn’t have to be to work until 9:30. So that was basically two hours. My first goal was to do a legit back noseblunt to disaster. Well that didn’t happen. I didn’t try for too long, but I would come back to it every once in awhile and try a couple. I mostly cruised around hitting whatever I felt like at the moment. Front 50s on the little ledge felt good. At one point I started skating mostly the ledge. I did manual, front 50, front 50 front 180, front 50 shove, front 5-0 and then tried front 5-0 shove for awhile. I would do flatground on the way back. Got to treflip and did a couple bad ones. After the 5-0 shove I tried a long line. I would pump through the snakerun and do the tiniest air over the tiny snowboard jump. Today would mark the first time I actually cleared the 1 foot of flat. It felt cool. Anyways, mega air, kickflip flyout off the bank, front 50 the little ledge, front 50 the bump to ledge. Never got the last 50 and was getting super frustrated. I ended up having to leave before I got it. I did at least get into it a few times. It would normally do a 5-0 on accident though.
