skate journal: cold skies struggles with dave (jan 18, 2016 day 18)
It was supposed to be a warm day. It was not. It was overcast, breezy and cold. I got there first and the warm up process seemed impossible. It literally took me 5 tries to land a kickflip. That is the worst in a long, long time for me. Dave started slow too and I mentioned we should both focus our boards and leave them in the snow. Ha. It would get better though. I had a line of boardslide, no comply 180 then switch noseslide followed by a crooks on the little ledge. Dave got the combo above. So rad. I got a front shove off the main middle ledge. No ollie up and it took a long time, but I must say it felt really awesome to land it.
