The sun was finally shining. I met Rob and Dave at this little metal park near the Longmont Rec Center (it’s not the same anymore there is no funbox thing and no bank, but lots of good flatground!). Rob and I weren’t feeling it too much when we arrived. At least we scared off the teenage girls sitting around tanning themselves (seriously). But it ended up being pretty fun. In the early stages Dave was going for a back 50 transfer over the qp hip. Rob was blasting lofty backside ollies on the qp and lining out a bunch of grinds. I posed some kickflips on the qp, but never committed. Then we hit a lot of flatground. I want to try and do 5 treflips a session. While I landed on like 20 of them I only rode away from 2. Ugh. I think my legs were pretty tired because I was extra squaty when I would land on the board. Rob came super close to fakie bigflips. Dave got his f/s nollie bigpsin after awhile. I tried kickflip axle stalls on the little qp and failed, tried fs ollies on the other qp and although I rolled away I doubt they actually count as ollies. Rob had to take off. We started trying flippers before the little qp. I got heelflip then hurricane and fakie bigflip then front tail. Dave took awhile to get a hurricane after a kickflip, but the hurricane he got was perfect. And he followed it up with a backside boneless and a no comply tail on the little qp (if I remember right). So sick. I ended by trying to bean plant transfer the qp hip. Again, I technically landed it, but I’m not sure it really counts. Ha. Fun session though, I could skate there once in awhile.
