It’s been almost a month since the last time I took a day off skating.  I’ve been kinda needing a day off for awhile.  In skating’s absence I went swimming with the kids which is pretty tiring.  Especially after jocking out pretty hard at the gym earlier in the day at work too.  Have I ever mentioned I’m related to the strongest man in the world?

Well it’s true.  2000 and 2001 Super Heavy Weight Powerlifting Champion of the World Big Bad Brad Gillingham!

Totally dead from KOTC. Went swimming with the kids then slept a lot.

Took the day off work and surprised the kids with an action packed day consisting of swimming at the Bay, eating out for dinner and then Lakeside in the evening.  I was beyond exhausted and sick by the end of the night.  Such a fun day.

If there was one day you could predict I’d be too tired/hungover to skate this year, the day after Josh’s wedding would be a pretty good bet.  Ha.  But Josh doesn’t drink anymore so I have no real excuse other than I really didn’t want to skate that park by myself again and I was really sore.

Had almost do desire to skate at all.  Last day I didn’t skate was June 18th.  I’m sore and burnt.

Drove from Black River Falls to Boulder.  15.5 hours.  1009.9 miles.  No way I was gonna skate after sitting in a car for that long.

Day 2 of the Bayer family reunion was filled with mostly rain and swimming in the cold lake so I didn’t feel like making the drive in for a wet skatepark.

On a family vacation in Omaha, I didn’t expect to skate everyday and today was too busy to keep the dream alive.  Oh well, my body needed a rest.

My groin was feeling pretty weird and I’ve skated a lot of days in a row so I forced myself to take the day off skating.  I played basketball with Liz and Ollie instead, went to Meta to sell some Null and watched a couple skate videos with Brian, Carleigh and Jason.

Sore from the last few days of skating in a row and not wanting to push it too much and pull my groin again I went swimming with the kids and took it easy and wrote this run on sentence.  The groin is still not 100% and is kinda popping in a weird way still, but not as painful.
